Donald E. Cole is a veteran, pastor, author, and former Primary Speechwriter for U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue. He has served in military, pastoral, and public leadership roles, including chairing Georgia’s Board of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. Cole is the author of Grassroots, chronicling the 2002 election of Georgia’s first Republican governor since Reconstruction; They Offered to Lead Their Nation, reviewing the 2016 Republican presidential announcement speeches; and Shaped in Life’s Quarry, exploring how God shapes lives through adversity. He lives in Cordele, Georgia, with his wife, Leslie.
