Greetings. My name is Donald P. Bolena Jr., though my friends and family call me Donnie. In forty years of life, I have mastered nothing. In these books, I offer my perspective and share real stories of how I have manipulated my way through life. I am a person who was told I had great talent, yet I often used that gift for ill intent. My goal is to help men and women from all walks of life understand the signs of manipulation.
These books are a concise read, written as plainly as possible. I have chosen not to sugarcoat anything; I am being brutally honest and presenting the facts. Proverbs 12:22 tells us, "The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy." While I spent many years living a life defined by deception and manipulation, I now recognize that this biblical truth is the foundation of the genuine change I am seeking in my own life. My aim is to take you inside the mind of one of the greatest manipulators you have ever encountered—and anyone who knows me can attest to that fact.
I will do my best to provide you, the reader, with a clear definition of life. I will highlight the warning signs to look for when someone is attempting to manipulate you using tools such as relationships, money, power, children, sex, and emotions—all of which are potent weapons for a skilled manipulator. My goal is simple: to help society understand that truth and honesty are not so bad, and that taking the long road is often the best measure of success. We all strive to reach the finish line, but the paths some of us take are harmful to our fellow members of society, which can lead to significant problems and, in some cases, financial ruin.
I invite you to dig in and absorb this material. I am confident you will experience a range of emotions and may even recall times when you were either a victim of manipulation or, worse, the manipulator yourself.
