Donnis Slusser Crane is a professional storyteller, author, audiobook narrator, and real estate education trainer. She holds a DTM – Distinguished Toastmaster, Lifetime Achievement. She has competed in and won numerous speech and storytelling awards through the years, including the top award for Best Speaker, State of Kansas.
The native Kansan performs at all kinds of events where people gather. Donnis believes that we can preserve our heritage, pass on traditions and gain a better understanding of ourselves and the world in which we live through storytelling.
Crane does genealogical research and uses storytelling liberally throughout her presentations of family histories. She is an active volunteer in the Wichita community. She is a member of Toastmaster’s International, the National Association of the Preservation and Perpetuation of Storytelling (NAPPS) and serves on the board of the Wichita Genealogical Society.
Donnis has been telling stories since the age of three. She grew up in a family of storytellers and is happy to share her books as well as those of father, Max, brother, Tommy, and sister and co-author, Lonetta Slusser Knutson on this author page.
