Dorothy Rosby is a syndicated humor columnist whose work appears regularly in publications in the West and Midwest. She’s the author of three books of humorous essays including her latest: ‘Tis the Season to Feel Inadequate: Holidays, Special Occasions and Other Times Our Celebrations Get Out of Hand.
Dorothy’s work has been included in many anthologies including My Funny Valentine, My Funny Major Medical, Bedpan Banter, Your Glasses are on Top of Your Head, Columnists: While We’re Still Around and three Black Hills Literary Journals. Her humor column has twice received first place honors from the National Federation of Press Women. And in 2022 she was named the global winner in the Erma Bombeck Writers Competition.
Dorothy lives in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, 20 miles from Mount Rushmore, something she’s very proud of though her face isn't on it. Yet.
