Dr. Leahnata Davies is a distinguished global public health leader, healthcare educator, and mental health advocate with over two decades of experience serving vulnerable and underserved populations. Born and raised in Sierra Leone, she now lives in the United States, where she continues to champion health equity through policy, education, and community engagement.
She holds a Ph.D. in Healthcare Administration and a Master of Science in Public Health. Her extensive career spans West Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, where she has led transformative public health efforts focused on HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, and youth mental health.
Dr. Davies currently oversees healthcare operations and serves as an academic mentor and professor, guiding the next generation of public health professionals. Her work centers on building resilient healthcare systems, advancing mental wellness, and empowering youth and marginalized communities through advocacy and innovation.
Her latest book, KUSH: The Synthetic Trap – Youth, Mental Health, and Sierra Leone’s Struggle, is a compelling exposé that shines a light on the intersection of addiction, trauma, and systemic neglect—offering both awareness and hope for change.
