Emily Mahon is an author, musician, and lifelong storyteller who believes some of the most powerful stories are the ones that help us see ourselves a little differently.
Her children’s book, You Are No Dragon, draws inspiration from Norse mythology to explore identity, friendship, transformation, and the stories we come to believe about ourselves. Through imaginative characters and a touch of magic, Emily creates stories that invite young readers—and the grown-ups reading alongside them—to look beyond who they think they are and discover who they might become.
Emily lives in Boise, Idaho, with her family, where she works in the arts, writes, makes music, and continues to be fascinated by mythology, creativity, and the wonderfully complicated process of becoming ourselves.
You Are No Dragon is her first published children’s book.
