Felicia Ortiz has served on the Nevada State Board of Education for the last 8 years, she has been President of the Board for the last 3 years. She also sits on several other education boards. When she is not volunteering her time, she is senior management consultant for a large global consulting organization.
In her chapter she explores how her childhood and upbringing have led her to these leadership roles and helped her to become an influential and trusted member of her community.
