Filippo is a world-renowned executive, globally recognized as a thought-leader in Shared Services, as well as technology-enabled business models. He has led Procter & Gamble’s Global Business Services globally, as President and Chief Information Officer, overseeing technology and business services operations in over 70 countries. He coined the term Global Business Services (GBS), which is now commonly used to describe the more mature shared services organizations. Filippo has won numerous awards (CIO of the Year, CIO Hall of Fame, Shared Service Thought Leader of the Year, Breakaway Leader Award, etc.) for having shaped the shared services and IT functions within their respective industries. His strategies, principles, and ideas have been the subject of numerous books, articles, and Harvard Business Reviews. His organizations, as well as business models, have been recognized as best-in-class in their business domains. He credits his upbringing and subsequent globe-trotting experience at P&G for shaping his intellectual curiosity and strategic thinking. He grew up in Rome, and his subsequent 33 years with P&G had him live in six countries across three continents. Filippo believes that his varied experiences are the key to his deep interest in business transformation, for which he is recognized worldwide. Filippo is President and co-founder of Inixia, the global standards and certification body for the Shared Services industry. He currently serves as a consultant to several companies and c-suite executives. He is an educator and Board member of public and private companies. Filippo and his wife, Lucia, have three children. They live in New York City and Rome.
