Franklin H. Pérez’s journey to becoming an Author started in the Dominican Republic. It continued as a teenager arriving in New York City where he would reminisce about his childhood in contrast with the cold city streets. His first short story was published in a NYC literary newspaper in 2009. The story, “The Adventures of the 3&5 Horned Rhino Beetles,” was inspired by his childhood experiences growing up in the town of Yagüate. There, he would play with the beetles while dreaming of flying and of possessing their strength. His young son Sebastian, the Author's own childhood, and his life experiences since then, fuel his imagination as he writes. Franklin has authored 25 children’s books, a book of poetry (ENDEAVOR: From Awareness To Breathing), and is currently working on a novel for Teenagers. He is also the founder and creator of ASTRO RHINO BEETLE LLC.
When he’s not working on his latest story, you can find him reading, learning a new language, exploring new travel destinations, or dreaming of flying like his beloved rhino beetles!
He currently resides in Greater Augusta, GA.
