Gary Alder is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IET. After starting his career as an electrical apprentice he has led multiple businesses, culminating in founding his own electrical specialist consultancy in 2017.
This was shortly followed by being awarded chartered manager and fellow of the Chartered Managers Institute. Gary has led national infrastructure projects including the billion pound Tideway super sewer throughout London.
Gary is enthusiastic about both the electrical and construction industry, being keen to share experiences now as an author.
He currently serves on the IET council, leading engineering policy into the future.
