George Egg straddles the gaps between passionate home cook, recipe inventor, food writer, content creator (horrible phrase but not as bad as ‘influencer’), theatre-maker (though his shows straddle another gap between comedy act and illustrated lecture) and prop-based stand-up comedian. He has written, produced and performed numerous food-centric comedy shows which have toured the UK as well as overseas throughout Europe and as far afield as Canada, New Zealand and India. In 2024, by public vote, he won Content Creator of the Year at the Fortnum and Mason’s Food and Drink Awards, despite being pitted against a phalanx of hip young gunslingers less than half his age. So there! He’s written recipes and articles for delicious. magazine, The Independent and children’s magazine AQUILA. The Snack Hacker is his first cookbook.
