Hannah Evans grew up in Swansea, where she worked at the local barbers before studying literature and languages at university.
Her debut novel, The Mapmaker’s Wife, was shortlisted for Penguin’s WriteNow programme and earned Hannah a place in Hachette’s Future Bookshelf initiative.
The novel was inspired by the true story of her grandparents’ early relationship, and explores the impact of their international romance through generations.
Hannah is based in south Wales where she lives with her fiancé and works in communications.
