Once a self-proclaimed non-athlete, Hilary Topper spent years climbing the corporate ladder before taking the leap to start her own business. But as time went on, she found herself at a crossroads, yearning for a change. At the age of 48, she laced up her running shoes for the first time—and her life took a remarkable turn.
Today, Hilary is a celebrated author, endurance athlete, and inspiration to countless others. Her book, From Couch Potato to Endurance Athlete: A Portrait of a Non-Athletic Triathlete, chronicles her transformation from a beginner runner to a triathlete, sharing the highs, lows, and lessons learned along the way.
She just published a new book titled "Unlocking the Triathlon: The Beginner's Guide to Competing in a Triathlon." This book teaches readers the ins and outs of triathlon training and competition.
Beyond her books, Hilary is a prolific content creator. She has two blogs: HilaryTopper dot com and ATriathletesDiary dot com. She also hosts the popular podcast Hilary Topper on Air, where she interviews thought leaders, athletes, and innovators.
Hilary’s passion for endurance sports extends to coaching and teaching. She is a USA Triathlon Level I Coach, USMS Level III Swim Coach, WOWSA Open Water Swim Coach, ESCI Endurance Coach, RRCA Level I Running Coach, and an Adjunct Professor at both Hofstra University and Fairleigh Dickinson University.
When she’s not writing, coaching, or podcasting, you can find Hilary training for her next race or connecting with her vibrant online community.
