Huckleberry Rahr is a mathematics instructor and writer. Her life is a chaotic maelstrom of words, numbers, cats, and coffee … and a bit of baking. Her love of books started with a massive book-filled-den one of her mothers kept, full of heroines as protagonists on epic fantasy adventures. The books kept her up late at night as they battled fierce enemies, rode dragons, or sang to crystals.
What the books lacked was queer representation. Now that Huckle is a parent, she wants to provide those stories for her kids, her students, and anyone else who wants a solid story with characters they can relate to. Unlike the books she read, most of what she writes is urban fantasy, how can her heroines survive without a cell phone?
