J.C. Moore writes suspense-driven crime and thriller novels focused on character, consequence, and the cost of buried secrets. His stories are set in small towns and close communities, where ordinary lives are shaped by pressure, loyalty, and hard decisions.
He is the author of the Shadow Bay thriller series and the Frank Mallory novels, which explore what happens when violence enters familiar places and refuses to stay contained.
Before turning to fiction, Moore worked a wide range of jobs, including bartender, IT tech, touring musician, horse farm manager, and restaurant owner. His music has appeared in television and film, but his focus is now firmly on storytelling.
A member of the Horror Writers Association and the Mystery Writers of America, Moore lives in upstate New York with his partner and their little but fierce dog. The woods, the roads, and the quiet continue to inform the stories he tells.
