J.F. Delisi writes historical cozy mysteries where the past isn't quite as polite as you remember.
As a neurodivergent writer, J.F. crafts mysteries that reward careful readers. Based in Montreal with xeir wife, daughter, and an unhealthy obsession with 18th-century Paris, J.F. writes the kind of books that make you question whether garden hermits were actually onto something.
The Hermit Detective series features Marceau, a mute detective who solves murders in 1780s Paris with help from his animal companions and a charming aristocrat who won't leave him alone. Expect historically grounded settings, slow-burn M/M romance, and mysteries that don't insult your intelligence.
When not writing, J.F. can be found researching obscure French noble titles, attempting to perfect the croquembouche at home, or explaining to anyone who'll listen why the golden age pirates were both fascinating and deeply weird.
