He earned a degree in political science before spending ten years as a journalist, covering crime, courts, and the complex stories that unfold behind headlines. He later transitioned into technology, where he has spent years building AI-driven and smart-building systems used across North America. The common thread has always been people — their motives, their breaking points, and the choices they make when no one is watching. Writing as J.J. Brigance allows him to explore those themes through tense, character-driven crime thrillers. Redemption is his debut novel.
