John R. Wilson grew up listening to his mother read old Westerns at night from the likes of Louie L’Amour and Jack Schaefer. He was raised on his family farm in New Mexico, then set out to study Agricultural Science and further the family prospects any way he could. He never forgot those wild and captivating books, and he found his passions reignited reading the works of C.J. Petit and R.O. Lane. Even after taking over the land when his mother passed, he never stopped reading in his few spare moments. Now, he’s been blessed with two sons who carry on the legacy of that very same farm, and he’s settled in to write his own stories after a lifetime of admiring men who did just that.
