Jacob Moon is an independent crime fiction author from Clearwater, FL. An army veteran and retired sergeant at a large Florida-based county jail, his short work appears in several magazines and anthologies, most notably The Saturday Evening Post. His debut novel Furlough was heavily influenced by his corrections career, while his sophomore novel Dead Reckoning was a finalist for the 2023 Silver Falchion Award for Best Supernatural Novel. His third novel, Letter 26, is set in his birth state of Minnesota and won the 2025 Maxy Award for Best Horror & Suspense Novel.
