After graduating from Doane College with a dual degree in Computer Science and History, James went to work for Nebraska public broadcasting where he worked on educational websites and games for Reading Rainbow and other programs. James then moved on to do technology consulting, focusing on user experience design, for Fortune 500 companies before returning to the non-profit world at Mayo Clinic.
James lives in Rochester, Minnesota.
