A storyteller since childhood, in 2021 Jana Jones published her debut novel, Vivid. A story inspired by her hometown’s history of lead exposure in marginalized communities. In 2022 she released What Happened to Alice?, a Black Southern Gothic piece about family secrets that transcend time and space. In 2014, Jana created The Anansi Project, a creative expression workshop for youth and young adults. Her work has been featured in Spoken Black Girl Magazine.
