Jannete Elgohary, a native of Mexico City, embarked on her spiritual journey by converting to Islam in 1995, setting the stage for a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and devotion. She holds a degree from the University of Islamic and Arab Studies (AOU) and continued her academic journey by dedicating additional years to studying at the California Islamic University, further enriching her understanding of Islam by diligently studying the teachings of the Quran under the guidance of esteemed teachers daily.
Jannete’s unwavering passion for Islam found an outlet in her creation of the YouTube channel, “Alimenta tu alma.” Where she, along with a dedicated team of Latino converts, shares her deep love and knowledge of the faith through over 450 enlightening videos. Presently, she serves as director of the Spanish program at (NMA) “New Muslim Academy,” guiding and inspiring others on their journeys of faith.
As a dedicated author, Jannete recently published a series of books titled: “Wisdom from the Quran” Which is available in both English and Spanish. Her life’s mission revolves around the continuous pursuit of Quranic knowledge and the heartfelt desire to share its divine wisdom with a world eager to understand the word of God.
