Jay Fernandez is a retired missionary, lay pastor, worship leader, youth leader, and elder. After many years of ministry in Africa and the United States, he now lives a quieter life in rural Missouri. He is the father of six adult children. Through seasons of success and profound loss — including divorce, financial ruin, and deep personal struggles — Jay discovered that the grace he had only known in theory was powerful enough to lift him up and set him on a new path. His passion today is helping believers move from striving and condemnation into the freedom and rest of God’s unmerited favor. He is currently working on starting a network of simple home churches, believing that authentic community and relationship with Christ are at the heart of what the Church is meant to be.
