Jay S. Miller is a pastor, author, educator, and conference speaker with a heart for faith, family, and generational legacy. Since 2002, he has served as Senior Pastor of The Family Church in Lafayette, Louisiana—a thriving, multi-cultural congregation of more than 1,500 members committed to building lives, families, and futures through Christ-centered ministry.
Jay also serves as President of the Association of Word Churches (AOWC), a network of pastors and local churches who gather regularly to share experiences, strengthen relationships, and exchange ideas that help churches grow and expand their impact in their communities.
In addition, Jay is the President of Lafayette Christian Academy, a K4–12th grade private Christian school in Lafayette, Louisiana, dedicated to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and championship-level athletics. Under his leadership, both the church and school have experienced significant growth and influence throughout the Acadiana region.
A passionate storyteller and visionary leader, Jay is the author of 2.5 Acres of Faith and A River, A Radio, and a Rocking Chair—two powerful books that chronicle his family’s legacy of perseverance, faith through loss, and God’s faithfulness across generations.
Married to his high school sweetheart, Tessy, for 32 years, Jay is the proud father of five sons and a devoted grandfather. Together, the Miller family continues to invest in ministry, leadership development, and community outreach.
On March 26, Jay will launch the Legacy Builders Podcast, a new platform focused on faith, leadership, and equipping families to leave a lasting spiritual inheritance for the next generation.
