Jean-Charles Samuelian is the co-founder and CEO of Alan, the vertically integrated payor and provider, uniting full-stack insurance and smart healthcare delivery into one seamless system. Alan serves 1m members across Europe (France, Belgium, and Spain) and Canada. Samuelian is also a non-operating co-founder and board member of Mistral AI, which focuses on advancing open-source AI for businesses. He's committed to rethinking corporate culture, blending excellence, rapid growth, and well-being. He authored “Healthy Business,” a reference book in corporate development, and “De l’Assurance Maladie au Partenaire Bien-Être,” a book on rethinking health systems. Before Alan, he co-founded Expliseat in 2010, revolutionizing economy-class airplane seats by reducing their weight to 5 kg. Samuelian is a Chevalier of the National Order of Merit, has received two Montgolfier Prizes, and the Medal of Productive Recovery. He regularly contributes to the digital ecosystem, was a member of the National Digital Council (2018-2020), and co-led the “Talents” track of Scale-Up Europe in 2021. He holds degrees from Ecole des Ponts Paristech, an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs, and is a member of the Institute of Actuaries.
