Jess Sinclair writes women's and book club fiction with compelling, relatable characters still figuring it all out. Her debut women's fiction, What We Could Have Been, is a gripping and emotional tale of a woman coming home to the small Florida gulf coast fishing town she fled as a teen in hopes of healing old wounds. Jess also writes mystery fiction as Tracy Gardner, and her Ruby Red Herring was a 2022 Edgar Award finalist and New York Public Library Best 100 Book. A Detroit native with one foot in the sand on Siesta Key Beach, Jess is a mother of three and works as a nurse when not writing. She lives with her husband and a menagerie of spoiled rescue dogs and cats, who inspire every fictional pet she's written, including iconic fishing cat, Hook.
