In my first full book, I write at the beginning, “I don’t write because I want to tell a story, but because I have a story to tell. It is the story of humanity that I see before me. It is the Human Experience.”
I don’t write just to put out stories for fun, or force some narrative or viewpoint (that’s propaganda). I write because I’m trying to find an answer to a question that I don’t know. It’s a quest for the truth. All true writers and stories do this.
The questions I’m trying to figure out are the same deep questions many of us have: Why are we here? What’s the point of life? Why is there pain and suffering? Does God exist? If so, why does He allow this?
I try to answer some of these questions to the best of my knowledge in my latest book, “All These Things I’ve Done.” I’m not saying I know the answers or have it all figured out, buts it’s the search for the Truth that is the human journey.
I hope you read along and enjoy my books and work with me to find the answers.
