In 1983,Dell published her first novel,"The Barbary Coasters." It was set during the 1860's in the Barbary coast of San Francisco and was part of a series of books written by different authors called,"The Making of America." Her pseudonym was Lee Davis Willoughby.
She has written articles for several magazines doing software and hardware reviews and ads and was a photographer for cover art for two magazines back in the 80's.
Joanne wrote for a local newspaper profiles for businesses and professionals but her passion is writing novels. She writes what she loves to read--romances. Her only regret is that she cannot get to meet her heroes in real life!
