João is one of those people who has a non-traditional career and a life story that surprises us every time we discover one of his achievements. Although he has a degree in pharmacy and is passionate about science, he was a professional dancer and show director. More than a decade ago, he decided to convert his experience in over 4000 performances on stages around the world to education and entrepreneurship. Today he works as an education designer, consultant, and researcher in corporate education, teacher training, the interaction between art and science, transdisciplinarity, learning methodologies, creativity, and innovation. He also holds a master's and a doctorate in Education, Management, and Scientific Communication from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He was a visiting researcher at Harvard and the University of Texas at Dallas and a postdoctoral researcher at Fiocruz. João currently lives in France and works at the IFP School and Axens Academy, both subsidiary institutions of the IFPEN group, a French research institute linked to the ministry of ecological transition.
