Joe Friend writes dark, funny, and occasionally dangerous fiction from his bunker in Los Angeles. He's an author, screenwriter, media & entertainment business consultant (Amazon, Discovery Channel, Disney, Fox, Hulu), musician, and podcaster who has spent a lifetime collecting experiences and turning them into works worth reading, hearing, and watching. He is a Final Draft Big Break Finalist in screenwriting, and has won awards from Script Pipeline, the Williamsburg International Film Festival, and the LA Film & Script Festival. Born & raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, having lived ‘down the shore’, in the ‘burbs, out in the sticks, down in the Keys, in the Big Apple, and finally to the West Coast, where he currently resides in Venice Beach, California.
When he's not at his desk he's probably on a mountain, in the water, or hosting The Story of My Friends - a podcast where extraordinary people tell their stories under the motto, "Life is Better When We Talk."
