Johannah grew up in Bridgton, Maine. She attended Holderness School in Holderness, New Hampshire, and graduated from Emory University with a B.A. in English. She has been teaching in a private, classical Christian school for thirteen years and has been a women's speaker and worship leader for fifteen years. Her husband Daryl and their three children live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, a growing community outside of Nashville.
