John H. Matthews lives in the suburbs of Washington, DC, with his wife and son. He grew up in a house surrounded by floor to ceiling bookshelves lined with hardbound books. His love of writing started in college then came back during a year spent in the San Francisco bay area.
His favorite authors are John Steinbeck and Barbara Kingsolver and he is heavily influenced by Robert B. Parker and Vince Flynn.
