Dr. John Jackson is a dynamic and strategic leader who has demonstrated organizational leadership skills in his work with national and global organizations and ministries. He has written and authored nine books on leadership, cultural change, and spiritual formation and is a sought-after speaker and executive consultant. Titles include Grace Ambassador (Chosen, 2023), The Prevailing Church, The Right Choice, Finding Your Place in God's Plan, Pastorpreneur, God-Size Your Church, Leveraging Your Leadership Style and Leveraging Your Communication Style (both coauthored with Lorraine Bosse Smith), and High Impact Church Planting. Since becoming President of William Jessup University, one of the top private Christian universities in the nation, Dr. Jackson has overseen growth there to more than triple in enrollment, increasing its budget from $17 million in 2011 to over $60 million in 2022. WJU has been named the third fastest-growing institution of its type in the nation and was listed as the highest-ranked regional college in California. Dr. Jackson has been a Senior Leader in churches ranging from 150-12,000 and in multi-state ministry platforms. He earned both his Ph.D. and M.A. in Educational Administration and Organizational Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara; M.A. in Theology (Christian Formation and Discipleship) at Fuller Theological Seminary; and a B.A. in Religion (Christian History and Thought) from Chapman University. Dr. Jackson is married to Pam and they make their home in Northern California. They have five children. Those five children have produced 5 grandchildren (so far!).
