As a young boy growing up in the small farming community of Greenfield, Indiana, John's stories draw from his life experiences and social values of that place and time. His biography of Sandy Allen in "Cast a Giant Shadow", who held the title of the World's Tallest Living Woman, offered him the opportunity to share with the world the fascinating life of this remarkable woman and longtime friend. He is a produced screenwriter having written the film "Pushed Too Far" starring veteran actor Claude Akins available at www.Hoosiermovies.com , a published poet with works available at www.asoldiersprayer.com ,and songwriter "Soldiers Prayer" recorded by Bobby Helms. He has worked extensively with many of Nashville's veteran country music entertainers and members of the Grand Ole Opry. He has managed a country music venue and was personal manager for the legendary music artist Bobby Helms of "Jingle Bell Rock" and "My Special Angel" fame. John continues to use his law enforcement knowledge to work with his close friend the Amazing Kreskin on missing persons cases.
