Dr. Martin has had a long career as a professor of psychology and clinical psychologist, including university, medical school, and theological seminary faculty appointments in psychology, psychiatry and medicine. He retired from all that professoring not too long ago as Professor Emeritus of Psychology at San Diego State University.
John lives in Orange County, California, where he maintains his private practice as a licensed clinical psychologist, marriage therapist and Christian counselor and pastor through his church, as well as small business entrepreneur and would-be writer and author.
As will be apparent to the reader of Psychology Confidential - his first creative, (mostly!) non-fiction book - John loves to make fun of himself, as well as unfortunate others, while having some well-deserved fun with psychology as a whole.
