José Arias, “Pepín”, was born in Asturias and has been working in the Canary Islands as a storyteller and author of children’s and young adult literature since 2007. He has written Short Tales Around the World (2016), a collection of his own tales written to be narrated in his storytelling sessions, with illustrations by Birk Brinkman, Teisa Serra, Blanca Ramírez and Arturo Soria. It was followed by Animals are my Friends (2017), a collection of folk tales from the five continents selected and adapted for ages 3 and above, illustrated by Teisa Serra. Finally he has written Literary Imaginarium (2018) and Literary Imaginarium 2 (2022), creating short stories for the drawings of Blanca Ramírez y Arturo Soria. To know more: pepinarias.com.
