José Miguel Plata-Ramírez is a language instructor and a bilingual creative writer from Venezuela. He holds a Masters in Spanish Linguistics from the Universidad de Los Andes, Venezuela and a Ph. D. in Language, Literacy and Culture from the University of Iowa, USA. He has more than 25 years of experience as a second language researcher and instructor in Venezuela and the U.S. Currently, he is an Affiliate Faculty in the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education Program at the Metropolitan State University of Denver, USA.
