Juan Carlos Valero (Murcia, 1978). Escritor y poeta murciano. También es periodista y pastor, dos vocaciones que han formado su manera de observar la realidad, escuchar las historias de los demás y buscar palabras para aquello que sucede en el alma.
Después de servir como misionero en Bolivia, regresó a Murcia, donde vive con su esposa, Vanessa Vergara. Es padre de cuatro hijos y abuelo de una nieta.
Cultiva la poesía, el cuento y la novela. Es autor, entre otros títulos, del poemario Alma en feliz viaje y de la novela El Tuerto. En su obra, la fe dialoga con la memoria y con el dolor, y la escritura nace del deseo de descubrir, incluso en lo más cotidiano, alguna huella de la eternidad.

Juan Carlos Valero (Murcia, 1978). Writer and poet, born and based in Murcia, Spain. He is also a journalist and a pastor — two callings that have shaped the way he observes reality, listens to other people's stories, and searches for words for what happens within the soul.
After serving as a missionary in Bolivia, he returned to Murcia, where he lives with his wife, Vanessa Vergara. He is the father of four children and grandfather of one.
He writes poetry, short fiction and novels. His books include the poetry collection Alma en feliz viaje and the novel El Tuerto. In his work, faith speaks with memory and with pain, and his writing is born of the desire to find, even in the most ordinary things, some trace of eternity.
