K.L. Carter is an accomplished aerospace professional, author, and loving parent who has contributed to some of the world’s most iconic space programs, including gravitational wave research, the Space Shuttle Program, the International Space Station (ISS), and commercial space exploration. With over 15 years in the industry, she has studied the mysteries of the cosmos while pursuing a deep understanding of the human journey of self-discovery.
Her debut book, Mystical Girl, Your Cosmic Journey to Self-Discovery, is a reflection of her dual passion for space exploration and self-awareness. Combining cosmic imagery, affirmations, and reflections, Carter's work empowers readers—especially women and dreamers—to embrace their imperfections and find joy in their journeys.
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, K.L. Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Southern University and A&M College and a Master of Science in Biophysics from Cornell University. As a devoted parent, she finds joy in nurturing not only her professional and creative endeavors but also her family’s growth and dreams. When she’s not writing, she mentors future STEM leaders, shares her insights on mindfulness, and continues her lifelong mission to help others reach for the stars.
