K.B. Cordova writes literary suspense rooted in the high desert of northern New Mexico. She is the author of The Casita Series, a psychological suspense saga set in this unique region and built around the women who carry stories no one else will hold.
The K and the B come from her own name. K is for the woman who wrote this book. B is for Burk, her maiden name, carried as a middle name across three generations of women in her family. Her daughter carries it. Her granddaughter Vera carries it. The weight of names, and the things women inherit without being asked, is something she writes about again and again.
She lives in Santa Fe, where the light, the silence, and the region’s layered Spanish, Indigenous, and Hispano histories shape nearly everything she puts on the page. She is a fiercely proud grandmother, rooted in this vibrant community.
The Casita Series is her first work of fiction. It will not be her last.
