An early wanderer, I attempted to leave home soon after I could walk. My life and writing have been shaped by a resilient curiosity, and a love of adventure and nature. I remain astounded at the extraordinary beauty, and intelligence, of the nature we have left.
Raised in Brisbane, Australia, my first job was as a country newspaper reporter in Mudgee. My most recent was in the humanitarian sector, based in London. In early 2019, I began drafting 'The Journey of Water', in part inspired by a 600 mile solo walk from London to Geneva I undertook as part of a charity campaign.
Away from my desk, and perhaps also when I am at my desk, I like to be in nature, explore ideas, undertake random adventures, and mess around with music. I keep an intermittent journal which I share with subscribers.
