Ken Wytsma is a writer and teacher with a lifelong curiosity about how history, philosophy, and culture shape the way we live—and sleep—today. For nearly two decades, he has spoken and taught at universities, conferences, and public forums around the world, inviting people into deeper conversations about meaning, justice, and human flourishing. He is the award-winning author of The Myth of Equality, a book on systemic injustice and human rights that became both widely influential and, in some contexts, controversial—earning him the unusual distinction of being a banned author in certain institutional and international settings. His writing often lives at the intersection of faith, ethics, culture, and lived experience, blending careful research with personal reflection and story. Beyond writing, Ken’s eclectic career spans entrepreneurship, nonprofit consulting, and higher education. He has worked extensively with NGOs and justice-focused organizations, advised nonprofits and boards, and helped launch initiatives centered on human rights, peace, and social impact. In recent years, he has also become a wine educator and historian, leading immersive wine history experiences and teaching how culture, place, and story shape not only what we eat and drink, but who we are. Ken lives in Oregon’s Willamette Valley with his wife and four daughters, where he writes, teaches, consults, and enjoys good conversation, meaningful work, and the occasional exceptional glass of Pinot Noir.
