Born and raised in Palo Alto, Kent graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Political Science. After college, he joined the Army and spent one year in Nha Trang, Vietnam, as an Intelligence officer and battalion adjutant. After the service, he worked for a large bank and eventually spent five years in Asia (Taipei and Tokyo) in International Banking. After this stint, he worked in the real estate industry.
Kent started late in writing. He wrote short stories and found that he enjoyed the process and story telling. His first book, "Hearts, Minds, and Coffee" tells a story about 4 anti-war soldiers who wage peace against a Vietcong village.
His latest book, "Wolf Express" is a coming of age story for a secular Jew in Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia who masquerades as a Catholic priest to save his people. He also saves Christians and communist resistance leaders, but his biggest problem is a brutal Gestapo major who is obsessed to kill him.
