Kihara’s inspiration for her book came at the age fourteen while riding upon the back of her horse in the desert, accompanied by her dog where they experienced real-life adventures together. Thirteen years later, Kihara has an undying love for horses and still has contact with the horse that helped inspire her to write this book. She graduated from college, earning a degree in psychology and agriculture. She has decided to settle down in a small town in the magnificent deserts of southern Utah, happily married to her true love and a mother of two.
