John (Grover) Wilson is originally from Franklin, Tennessee, where he graduated from Battle Ground Academy in 1963. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a B.S. in Business in 1967. While in the U.S. Air Force, he received a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Norther Colorado in 1976. While in the Air Force he flew 12 different aircraft and served two combat tours in Southeast Asia. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1971 along with several other decorations. He lives in Knoxville and is married to Carol Silvey Wilson and they have 12 grandchildren. He is currently a Managing Director and Senior Investment Management Consultant with Raymond James and Associates.
