Hi, I’m LaBena—author, educator, and faith-filled encourager. Whether I’m writing books, reading scripture live on Facebook, or speaking to caregivers and families, my mission is simple: to share God’s Word and uplift hearts.
After years in education and hospice care, I stepped into one of life’s most sacred roles—caring for my mother during her Alzheimer’s journey. That experience changed everything. It led me to write books that offer hope, healing, and spiritual guidance to caregivers walking a similar path.
Now, I’m thrilled to bring that same heart to children’s literature with He Made It All: A Rhyming Creation Story, the first in my “God Said Series.” Through playful rhyme and vibrant storytelling, I help young readers discover the beauty of God’s creation and His love.
I live in Richmond Heights, Ohio, with my husband, Michael, and I cherish time with my daughters, granddaughter, and grand kitties. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me gardening, cooking, reading, traveling—or sharing scripture live each weekday morning.
