Lance (1939- ) is a retired neurologist. "Dr. Fogan tells us what's wrong; he tells us like it is. That's good, and usually necessary," his patients said. A literature/writing class since 2000 is expanding his horizons. Teaching neurology at UCLA, leading gross brain conferences and enjoying his family takes up his time. He won the American Academy of Neurology History Prize in 1988 for his paper, "The Neurology in Shakespeare." An amateur chef, his original recipe, "Sea Bass Mexicana-Chinois," appeared in the September, 1995 issue of Bon Appetit magazine. His other passions include indulging his grandsons and world travel.
