Lindsay Law has produced scores of television plays and dozens of films, in addition to a pair of productions on Broadway. Many of these works have been nominated for Emmys, Tonys, and Oscars. He was the Executive Producer for the PBS drama series American Playhouse, from 1981 to 1995, shepherding stories that centered the full range of human experience at a time when American television rarely dared to. He was the President of Fox Searchlight Pictures from 1995 to 2000. He lives in Litchfield County, Connecticut, the same corner of New England that quietly breathes through the landscapes of his fiction.
Now a novelist, Lindsay brings to his writing the same instincts that defined his career in film and television: an unflinching eye for character, a deep respect for emotional truth, and a belief that the bonds between people, however complicated, however quiet, are always worth telling. His debut novel, The Orphan from Shepherds Keep, found a devoted readership among those who recognize the cost of loving openly in a world still learning to make room for it. His second novel, Without Him, extends that vision into new territory, exploring the fierce and wordless love between brothers across thirty years of an uncertain world.
If you enjoyed this book and the time you spent with these characters, help spread the word online, at your local bookshop, and directly with your friends. Lindsay would enjoy hearing about your experience with this story, and invites you to ask any questions you may have, about his characters, his world, or his own.
