Entrepreneur, scholar, and psychologist, Lori Sokol, PhD. is Executive Director of Women's eNews, an award-winning, non-profit digital news service that provides coverage of the most crucial issues impacting women and girls around the world. Dr. Sokol was previously Founder/President of Sokol Media, Inc., publisher of business magazines covering a number of pertinent social issues including gender equality, the needs of working parents, environmental sustainability and strides made by female professionals determined to smash the proverbial glass ceiling. Passionately committed to addressing these and related topics, Dr. Sokol strives to empower individuals to triumph over gender-related societal limits through the media, enabling them to reach their full potential unhindered. Her articles have been published in the Baltimore Sun, The NY Times, Slate.com, Ms. Magazine and in The Huffington Post. She has been interviewed on a variety of news outlets including MSNBC, CNBC, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal. She is also the host of the weekly podcast, 'Women Saving The World," where successful female leaders representing the political, for-profit and non-profit arenas discuss their keys to success. Dr. Sokol recently represented the US at IWFCI in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she presented on the topic: The Impact of Women Leaders on the Global Economy. In Dec,, 2018, Dr. Sokol was profiled in 'About Face,' an installation at Art Basel Miami 2018, spanning the whole spectrum from women’s rights activists, artists, intersectional and non-binary feminists. Her second book, She Is Me: How Women Will Save The World, will be published in August, 2020 by She Writes Press.
