Louise Broderick was born in Derbyshire, England, but now lives in Ireland. She has been involved with horses all of her life as an owner and competitor.
Louise was an equestrian magazine editor for over a decade before following her dreams of becoming a full time novelist. She has published books in a number of genres, but most feature horses and the people who love them.
Louise also writes animal stories for older children as Jacqui Broderick.
When she is not writing Louise can usually be found riding her horse, or walking her dogs in the Connemara countryside. While writing her constant companion is Shorty, a black and white cat, who usually sits beside her computer.
